As I am born and raised up in the Black Forest in south-west Germany I am totally in love with nature and especially forest and wood. Coming home is always a great feeling 🙂

Black Forest is all about nature. The people in the small forest-villages found their way to live with nature, not against it. Everyone in these small communities is responsible for the surrounding nature, people do actively care about what’s around. It is awesome to see how they work with the forest, how they work with the wood. Being home is always about being inspired by the beauty of nature but also being inspired by what humans can create with the help of nature.

When talking about wood and what humans can create with wood I need to say that I am totally in love with the inspiring products Holzkern is doing. Those guys are producing pure nature masterpieces – wooden watches. It is incredible what people can do with wood – so be sure to check them out 🙂
